Polya was founded by Gamcap Labs, a Singapore-based company with a mission to build products for the improvement of Web3 space. Our co-founding team got together for our passion for trading on cryptocurrencies and NFTs and joined forces to contribute to the Web3 space. We are a team of experienced professionals who share a passion for Web3 and decentralisation. Together, we bring a wealth of expertise in mathematical finance, blockchain technology, trading, and community building.

Our work ethic and principles are based on George Polya’s book “How to Solve a Problem.

George Polya is known as the father of modern problem-solving. He published numerous math papers and books on problem-solving. As fellow mathematicians, in our early days, we have been heavily influenced by his seminal work, "How to Solve It".

<aside> <img src="/icons/book-closed_pink.svg" alt="/icons/book-closed_pink.svg" width="40px" /> George Polya breaks down problem-solving into four main steps,

(i) understanding the problem,

(ii) making a plan,

(iii) executing the plan, and

(iv) reflecting.

Basically, Polya advocates that in order to solve problems, instead of memorising a set of solutions one should approach using the first principles and build complex logic from simple answers.
